Kerbal Space Program-- Let's go to space!

The first game that I am going to be discussing about is a new space-simulator type game called Kerbal Space Program (KSP). Kerbal Space Program is a game, developed by Squad, where you create your own space program. Currently, the game is in heavy development so there are a lot more things that will be added in the future to further expand the game depth and its features, but don't let that turn your attention away from this outer space gem. Anywhere from manned spaceships to spaceships carrying satellites and even rovers intended to travel on the surface of other planets are all possible in KSP. On top of that, the spaceships used by your space program are completely built by the player from the ground up and with so many parts to choose from the spaceships can range from a fully functional and effective spacecraft to a funky funny looking rocket. But don't go too crazy while building as the physics of the game game are pretty spot on thus making the creation of a spaceship a thought out and careful process.  As your space program advances, sending satellites into orbit or sending your crew to the moon, or the 'mun' as it is called in game, you will find that with every successful mission you push yourself further and further gaining better ideas for the future of your program.

Ship Building in KSP

Since the game is currently in development only sandbox mode as well as tutorials are available; but even while waiting for new features there is still a lot that can be done. Creating satellites to orbit your planet (though the communications system has yet to be implemented), building space stations piece by piece and attaching it while in space, and even sending a full crew to the surface of the mun and beyond, that is just a snippet of what is possible in the early stages of KSP. Kerbal Space Program is available for purchase on Steam and the KSP store. The game is fully moddable with many mods already available in the 'Kerbal Spaceport' with many useful ones that further enhance the gameplay.

Currently my space program is in the process of attaching our Space Station communications systems to our Space Station command. Ithe past I have just played it in order to understand how to play it and such without any serious plans for mun exploration and such. In my previous play throughs I have successfully sent satellites to orbit around the planet and even attempted to send my crew to the mun. But after awhile playing around I finally decided on a serious attempt at bigger and better missions, currently with my main save I have boldly started with a Space Station. One of the hardest things to do, in my opinion, is docking which is the process of attaching two parts of the space station together. The problem isn't docking itself but rather getting into the correct position to begin the docking process. This means that currently the Pedigirno space program station docking mission is at a standstill. Sadly, even after countless online tutorials on how to get the two station parts going the same velocity at the same orbit and ready for docking, I still have yet to master or complete the docking of the two station parts. But don't worry I will continue to practice until I get the docking process learned, in the meantime the Pedigrino space program will have several missions concerning satellites and maybe one to the mun!

Here is a screenshot of my (slow) progress so far.
