Minecraft-- The classic hit

    By now I am pretty sure almost everyone in the gaming and youtube community has heard of the game Minecraft. If you have not well then you are behind on the times, Minecraft is a indie sandbox game that became an instant hit and its popularity today is not letting go. This post isn't going to be about how cool Minecraft is or what Minecraft is because I am pretty sure that enough information on Minecraft is out there. So instead I thought I would start on a new fresh map and build a nice Minecraft kingdom from the ground up; I also intend to add a story and play along with it rather than just showing me building things. Firstly, I would like to say that I am no Minecraft building genius but I know how to put blocks together to make it look somewhat like a building. So during my journey that I will share with you all I would like to get as much advice and tips on how to make my buildings look better and the story more interesting; and with that said I hope you enjoy:

     On an especially chilly night in the GG Empire at the Belly INN, a known hangout for advisors to many Lords and Ladys across the GG Empire, an INN known for its magnificent 'belly' products. From Pork belly to Beef belly, and even Human Rabbit belly, the Belly INN does not fail to sensually please the taste buds. But as the advisors were winding down, from the long day, a loud bang was heard as the door swung open:

Royal Messenger: Hear ye, Hear ye!

The advisors gather.

Royal Messenger: Dear Lords and Ladys of the great GG Empire. I, your gracious King, has claimed all lands beyond our borders and once our settlements have been founded these lands will belong to our Empire. There lands are very dangerous and thus only the brave Lords and Ladys should undertake this quest. To any Lord or Lady who wishes to advance their name and amass more wealth, I call upon you. Venture beyond our borders, with settlers and all the supplies you deem fit, and claim settlements in the name of the GG Empire. All successful settlements will be granted a hefty fortune to expand and grow their settlement. Further more all Lords and Ladys of these founded settlements will be granted the surrounding lands to be claimed as a county part of the GG Empire. Any interested party is to inform the royal advisor to the King and set off immediately.

The Royal Seal

     There was mumble throughout the crowded INN and soon after the advisors set off in order to inform their Lords and Ladys. During the haste the advisors were grounded to a halt, but by what?

INN Keeper: Hey you damn idiots how are you suppose to advise your lords and ladys on big issues in the realm when you can't even remember to pay your tab before you leave!

     So after all the bills were paid the advisors set out in extreme haste (mostly due to their incompetence in forgetting to pay, I mean you were chosen because of your intelligence right so you can help....ah forget it just continue). One by one advisors reached their Lords and Ladys villages, towns, and cities and one by one the Royal Advisor to the King received letters containing answers to the Kings quest along with each Lord and Ladys seal.

Royal Advisor: Ah yes what a lovely vacation and perfect timing too, I have to thank the King for his kindness, after 15 years at his side I finally got a vacation! *Walks over to his desk to begin work* Right so where did I leave off...Taxes....okay....more taxes, yea.....ta...oh that's why he is so rich haha....oh shit. *sees a stack of letters with the seals of various Lords and Ladys* I knew I should have waited, why did I send out that stupid message and go on vacation right away (look here another incompetent advisor what the hell is this damn kingdom, how did they survive all these years....never mind just whatever).

     The Advisor opens each letter one by one and thoroughly reads them. After going through each letter some answers were expected, as both the King and Royal Advisor predicted many of the weaker Lords, with questionable loyalty, would obviously decline. So among the top tier of Lords and Ladys, which one accepted the Kings request and which declined? The Royal Advisor rushed to the throne room, where the King sat, and knelt down infront of his Highness.

Royal Advisor: My King, I have the answers from your Lords and Ladys and as you know our top tiered Lords and Ladys were looked upon closely by his Highness and I. From the Eastern most part of your Kingdom, under the green Holdek family crest, High Lord Gendrest Holdek. In the green plains, under the black Gelden family crest, Lady Trelsa Gelden. In the forests, under the magenta Selder family crest, Lord Talmont Selder. The trio to the south protecting our southern most borders, under the gold, Lord Flaeck Lesdon, under the grey, Lord Aldok Tetherin, and under the pink, Lady Selta Mogro. In the north and west of your Kingdom sire, under the brown, Lord Garean Tolden, under the cyan, Lady Presna Kalderian, under the white, Lord Yaldek Grinspear, under the orange, Lord Folk Wendok, under the red, Lord Wyackk Highsword. And finally in the rich valleys of the southwest, under the lime, Lord Relder Bogroon, and under the blue, Lord Elladan Seregon.

Each Lord or Ladys banner has purple on top to represent the King and the GG Empire and below are the Lord  or Ladys family crest color.

     So which Lord or Lady accepted the Kings quest? all? none? Stay tuned for the next post where I profile each Lord and Lady.
